Welcome 2 Worcester is the first festival of its kind in Central Massachusetts --
and you're going to want to be a part of it! For one exciting day, the
Worcester Common will be packed with Worcester residents, students from the ten surrounding colleges,
and the UMass community. Here's just a sample of the day's highlights:
A family-oriented nonalcoholic celebration of Worcester and its diverse residents
Duathlon Running and Biking Race, with awards given to 1st-place male and female
The pulsing beat of a DJ
Battle of the Bands -- hear the best musicians from surrounding colleges as they battle it out for the crowd's votes
Dancing -- onstage flamenco and salsa dancers burn the floor
Restaurant Row -- food and drink available from the city's fine local eateries
Crafts tents -- local vendors show off their wares
Skateboard and Bike Parks -- featuring daredevil demonstrations from local pros
Rock-climbing wall with safety experts onhand
Special community booth, featuring Worcester Police and Fire officers
